Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Planniz ("Planniz", "we", "us") collects, uses and protects personal information when you use planniz.app and the Planniz Studio application at studio.planniz.app (together, the "Service"). Planniz is a product of Auviel Inc., Waterloo, Ontario, Canada, which is responsible for your information.
In short: we collect what we need to run your account and publish your posts, we do not sell personal information, and you can disconnect your social accounts or ask us to delete your data at any time.
1. Information we collect
- Account information: your name, email address and authentication details when an account is created for you.
- Connected social accounts: when you connect Facebook, Instagram, Threads, LinkedIn or X, we receive the access tokens and profile details that the network provides (such as account or page name, ID and profile picture) so we can publish on your behalf.
- Content you create: post text, images, video, schedules and settings you add to Planniz.
- Performance data: where you allow it, basic post and account metrics from the connected network, shown to you in the app.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, device information and logs generated when you use the Service, used for security and troubleshooting.
The marketing site at planniz.app does not use advertising or analytics cookies and does not track you across other sites.
2. How we use information
- To provide the Service: authenticate you, store drafts, schedule and publish posts, and show your calendar and insights.
- To keep the Service secure, prevent abuse, and fix problems.
- To communicate with you about your account, such as sign-in, invitations and service notices.
- To meet legal obligations.
We do not sell personal information. We do not use information obtained from social networks for advertising, profiling for third-party purposes, or training machine learning models, and we do not transfer it to data brokers.
3. Information from social networks
When you connect a social account you authorise Planniz to act on that account through the network's official interface. We request only the permissions needed for features you use, such as publishing posts, reading page or profile information, and reading basic performance metrics. We use that data only to provide those features to you. Our use of information received from these networks follows their platform terms and policies, including the Meta Platform Terms, the LinkedIn API Terms of Use and the X Developer Agreement and Policy. You can revoke Planniz's access at any time from the settings of the network itself or by disconnecting the account in Planniz.
4. Who we share information with
We share information only with service providers that help us run Planniz, under appropriate obligations, and when required by law:
- Hosting and infrastructure: cloud servers that run the application and database.
- Cloudflare: network security, delivery and file storage for uploaded media.
- Resend: delivery of transactional email.
- The social networks you connect: content you choose to publish is sent to those networks.
- Legal and safety: authorities or advisers where required to comply with law or protect rights and safety.
5. Storage, location and security
Information is stored on servers we control and with the providers above, and may be processed in Canada, the United States or other countries where those providers operate. We use access controls, encrypted connections (HTTPS), and restricted administrative access to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Retention
We keep account information, content and connection tokens while your account is active. When you disconnect a social account we delete its access tokens. When you ask us to delete your data, or your account is closed, we delete your personal information within 30 days, except where we must keep limited records to meet legal obligations or resolve disputes. Backups are overwritten on a rolling schedule.
7. Your choices and rights
Subject to applicable law, including Canada's PIPEDA and, where they apply, the GDPR and similar laws, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, withdraw consent, and object to certain processing. You can disconnect social accounts at any time. To delete your data, follow the steps on our data deletion page. To exercise any other right, email hello@auviel.com. We will respond within 30 days.
8. Cookies
The Studio application uses essential cookies to keep you signed in and secure. These are required for the Service to work. We do not use advertising cookies.
9. Children
The Service is intended for people who are at least 18 years old and is not directed to children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version here with a new "last updated" date and, for material changes, notify you by email or in the app.
